BMAN Conducts Peace Pledge Campaign at Trinity Boys College Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria – May 24, 2025 – In a powerful demonstration of advocacy and mentorship, the Boys Mentoring Advocacy Network (BMAN) Team FCT Abuja hosted its Peace Pledge for Boys Campaign at Trinity Boys College, Abuja. This initiative, designed to instill values of peace, respect, and unity, saw enthusiastic participation from students eager to embrace the principles of peaceful coexistence.

The campaign unfolded in an engaging and interactive setting, where students attentively participated in activities led by Mr. Oluwapelumi Olaniwun, Director of Operations, BMAN Team Abuja. With the guidance of dedicated volunteers, the boys took a Peace Pledge, committing to listen first, remain calm, and respect others—three fundamental principles for conflict resolution and harmonious relationships.

This pledge was more than symbolic—it marked the beginning of a transformative journey for these young minds, equipping them with the essential tools to navigate conflicts and promote a culture of understanding within their school and beyond. The atmosphere was charged with learning and inspiration as students eagerly engaged in discussions, real-life scenarios, and interactive exercises reinforcing the campaign’s objectives.

One of the highlights of the event was the appointment of two outstanding students, Marcel Egbe and Joshua Joel, as BMAN Peace Ambassadors. These young leaders have demonstrated a passion for promoting peace and will continue to inspire their peers by advocating for respect, empathy, and positive interactions within their school community.

Expressing her appreciation for the initiative, Mrs. Lauretta, Vice Principal of Trinity Boys College, commended BMAN’s efforts, stating:

“This campaign aligns perfectly with our educational philosophy—developing well-rounded individuals who excel not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. We are grateful for BMAN’s commitment to shaping future leaders through peace education.”

BMAN remains steadfast in its mission to mentor young boys and extend the Peace Pledge Campaign across schools in Abuja, ensuring that the message of peace reaches as many students as possible. The organization believes that peace education starts early, and when nurtured, young boys can grow into ambassadors of unity and positive change within their communities.
